Kyne is almost 22 months old (1/29) and Rhys just turned 5 months old (1/21). They both wear a size 3 diaper! - How funny is that?!?!

For the record, Rhys weighs just over 15lbs and Kyne was 21lb 11oz 2 weeks ago…

This is how he woke-up from his nap yesterday. He’s such a happy boy these days. I am so glad he isn’t sick any more!

He tried baby-cereal for the first time the other day, just shy of 5 months old. Kyne started on it at the same age. He was definitely ready! He absolutely loves eating. I got some organic oatmeal on Monday and he gobbles in down now. He only gets a couple tablespoonfuls once a day before a bottle, but he sure enjoys it!

I am in no rush to start anything else yet, but I am glad we started the cereal now instead of at 6 months. He is a big, growing boy!

It’s rare that NC gets snow, so waking up to 4 inches of the pretty white flakes was pretty cool. It carried on snowing until late afternoon and we ended up with around 7 inches.

Ricky took the kids out in the morning to play. I stayed inside with RJ. They had so much fun. Tayah even made a snowman!

Although I still haven’t taken before and after pics…I weighed in this morning at 148.8lbs - So I’ve lost about 2.5lbs this week. I have caved in a couple of times and had not-so-good meals (wings and cheese-sticks today….thanks Becky!) but overall I have been doing good.

I will start the exercise part of my diet next week.

We went to the animal shelter last Friday to look at cats for Tayah (for her birthday). We took our time and made sure we picked the perfect cat for our family….

And boy did we!

His name is Milo and he’s a 6 month old domestic tabby. He’s like a dog! He loves the kids, follows them wherever they go. If they’re upstairs, then he’s upstairs. He lets Kyne pull him around (although we don’t let him of course), lay on him (we also put a stop to this) and he loves hugs and kisses (gross).

The kids are so happy and it feels just right having him here. I must admit I detest the litter-box though!

Unfortunately I got very engorged and was in a lot of pain (to the point where I couldn’t hold RJ against me). Of course I had thrown away a part of the pump that isn’t sellable and without it there is no suction (just hours before). I got so desperate I went through the trash! I then remembered I had put them into a separate bag with the dirty diapers and already taken it outside to the trash can (darn me for being so anal about taking trash out!)

So I search for my handheld manual pump that I used a couple of times when Kyne was born. Useless. Didn’t help at all.

I eventually remember I have another electric pump in my closet that someone gave me. Lifesaver. I get some relief in about 5 mins (and 7oz later). I threw the ‘milk’ out (I say ‘milk’ because it was so watery, didn’t look anything like milk), mainly because of the supplements I started.

As for my diet: I am doing very well so far! - I weighed in at 151lbs on Monday morning. I will re-weigh this coming Monday. I want a treadmill though

Rhys has the cutest cheeks. So kissable! Often they are rough from his eczema, but they are still the loveliest cheeks to smooch on!

Our little princess turned 4 last Wednesday! We made sure she had a special day just for her. She wanted Macdonald’s for lunch so we went there and played for awhile. Then we went and looked at the cats in the shelter but didn’t find one we thought would fit our family. We then came home and made her fish sticks for dinner because that is what she wanted! She got lots of nice presents too. Nanny (my mum) got her a huge dollhouse for her Barbie’s (she bought it when she was here and we hid it under our bed. We assembled it the night before her birthday). Nanny & Grandad got her the Dream Town Market and accessories. Becky took her to Build-a-Bear on Monday and she made a dog with a ballet dress on. And then we got her a Hannah Montana doll, a Princess Barbie, some Little Petshop Pets, a Princess handheld game, dress-up stuff, some earrings and a necklace.

Princess Tea Party

On Saturday (10th) we threw Tayah a Princess Tea Party. She originally had 4 little girls coming but one didn’t show up. In the end there was Tayah, Ethany (5, our old neighbor), Brianna (7, Becky’s daughter) and Sierra (4, goes to preschool with Tayah). The amount of kids was perfect for me!

I decorated our table in a Princess theme and made ‘tea’ (apple juice) with pink heart ice cubes in it. They had snacks and pink cupcakes and we played games and opened gifts. The girls also had some playtime upstairs with Tayah’s new dollhouse. It was a lot of fun and Tayah loved her first real party!
