Baby is still high in pelvis, but I am 3cm dilated now…..I really doubt that means anything though, being my 4th and all. 1lb weight gain

I have a few important things to do tomorrow (Kyne has a Dr appt, Talon has his meet-the-teacher for his new school), so I am glad labor isn’t imminent!

I have a feeling this baby isn’t coming any time soon!

Talon was around 12 days early, Tayah was 14 days early and Kyne was 10 days early. For some reason I am betting I make my due-date…and that’s even if my due-date is correct….I have thought all along that I am due Sept 5, not August 31…..so it could be even longer. Mum arrives Sept 1, so I am PRAYING he arrives before then!

I have got so many new stretch marks with this pregnancy…..they are all over the place…the backs of my arms (OMG) and down the sides of my legs…I seriously want to cry! I know I’ve gained some weight, but come on! This is ridiculous!

I think he is going to weigh in the high 7’s also…maybe even 8lb at this rate.

*sigh* - I am having a bad day

So Friday night I am fast asleep but I become aware that Ricky is sitting up in bed. I am too tired to care and just assume he is dreaming, so I drift back off. A few minutes later and he is still sitting up, so I ask what he is doing. He says he hears banging and gets up to go check the kids and the house. I lay back down but realize he is taking forever, so I get up and pee and then go see what he is doing. He is standing in the front room and says there is banging against the outside wall. I stand there and listen and sure enough I hear some banging. It starts to get louder, like someone is banging hard against the outside of our house. The house is shaking it is so hard! I am starting to panic and am so frightened…..I run into the bedroom and Ricky tries to look out of the side door (without opening it) to see if he can see anyone. He says he can hear breathing! I go near the door and hear the breathing and panting and Ricky thinks it’s a dog. Not 2 days ago there was an emergency call to our line about rabies being found in our city, so Ricky calls the cops. Anyway I look out the door and sure enough I see a brown dogs head sticking out of our side gate! Oh My Gosh the relief I felt was instant! I swear I coulda gone into labor there and then I was so scared beforehand! The operator keeps him on the phone and not 35-40 seconds goes by before 3 cop cars pull-up outside! Wow, now that is amazing! - They come running down the drive, flashlights blazing…while Ricky is telling the operator where the noise is coming from (he says he thinks someone is trying to break in our house at first, and then right when the cops pull up he tells the operator it might be a dog)….in the meantime another 2 cop cars pull-up also! - We hear one cop shout "do you have dogs?" and we’re like "no" - So anyway there are 2 large dogs in our back yard! They had been trying to get back out and were getting their heads through the gate and pulling it, which was making the banging sound against our wall. They had chewed most of the post also!

So all but 2 cop cars leave, and they say they are going to get a chip-detector to see if the dogs have chips otherwise they will just let them go. They check our yard but can’t see how they got in…..and end up just letting them go because they aren’t chipped.

Needless to say I could not sleep for anything after that! (it started at 3.15AM). The cops were amazing though and it is such a nice feeling knowing we live just around the corner from the police station.

My appointment went OK. I asked about my back pain, and well there isn’t a lot that can be done. My midwife checked my cervix and I am 2cm dilated, 50% effaced and baby has dropped. She said this could be why my back is hurting more. I had no weight gain this week and my BP was it’s highest (but nothing bad) at 134/76.

Because of the decrease in his movements I was put on the monitors for an NST which took about 30 minutes (luckily I only had Kyne, who sat in his stroller w/toys and his milk the whole time). Baby didn’t move at all for the first 15-20 minutes (his heartbeat was fine though), so they made me drink 2 cups of water to wake him up. I still couldn’t feel any movements but his heart rate picked up and was going crazy, so all was well there. Dr told me I have to do kick-counts 3x a day for an hour each time….yeah that’s likely with 3 other kids to take care of. I am always aware of his movements (or lack of) so I do take notice of them throughout the day.

I expect I’ll make it to my next appointment in a week

Is friggin’ killing me! It hurts so bad…I think it’s a nerve, it’s more of a radiating pain and shoots from my tail-bone down my right leg. It almost makes me collapse at times and I can hardly walk. I am going to ask my Dr more about it today (appt in 1.5 hours). I will update later about appt and post my 37 week belly pics (I am huge!).

Oh I also have a great story I forgot to post about from our weekend….it was a scary, sleepless night involving the cops!

It took most of the day Saturday and part of Sunday to get almost finished. I even helped mow (with a push-mower!) part of the front yard. Ricky worked so hard to get it looking better…I am so proud! It looks amazing. We still have another bag or 2 of pebbles to get to go around the mail-box and we need to trim the edges (the trimmer broke), but it certainly looks 100% better than it did.

Just some random pics I took on Friday…..Talon and Kyne when Tayah was at school and then the only decent one I managed to capture of all 3 at the park.

Talon had to hold Kyne’s head up because he was not in a picture-taking mood!

Nothing new to report…..1lb weight gain (I blame the swelling!) and everything else looks great. I had a bunch of questions that were answered, mostly about labor and delivery. I think we are pretty much ready now….the wait is on. I am hoping he comes 1 week before mum gets here, that way R will be home with us for the week (hopefully) and then mum will be here for almost 2 weeks. I think I won’t have a breakdown if it goes that way! I have had some intense cramps these last couple of days, nothing consistent or anything….but it sure is annoying.

This weekend we have to sort our yard out….it is a total mess. It’s rained a lot this year so far (compared to last year) and the weeds have taken over. I am going to take some before photos in a bit and then will take after ones once we are finished.

But I did sleep better last night than the night before. I drank hot-lemon, had a relaxing bath with herbs, took some medicine and a Unisom….and fell into a rather nice sleep. I hope I continue to get better quickly. It is no fun being pregnant and sick.

I turned 36 weeks on Sunday. I am hoping to get over this cold before any signs of labor show up. I think we still have a few weeks left, so that’s OK. I just dreaded going into labor feeling the way I did yesterday….I told R they would have to give me a c-section coz there was no way I had the energy or will to give birth!

I have some major swelling going on in my hands and feet too. It started Saturday night when Becky and I went out and walked the mall. My rings are completely stuck on my finger and my toes look like little sausages. It hasn’t seemed to ease since then and my feet are worse. I am going to lay down now and drink lots of water.

Not only am I sick, but my sciatic nerve is killing me making it hard to walk. I have neck and shoulder pain, and I feel nauseous. Yeah, pretty sucky start to the month so far.
