Not Much Going On……. Posted by Katie

Well I don’t really have much to write this week. Our weekend was quiet (usually is when Talon isn’t with us), and we didn’t do much of anything.

I thought I felt some little flutters over the weekend…..but now I am not too sure! - I felt Talon around 17-18 weeks, and Tayah was at 17 weeks 3 days (I think), so it should be soon. I am looking huge! - Ricky took some pics of me on Friday night and I look gross! Here they are:

Oh well, a lot of weight to lose come April!

Level II Ultrasound Posted by Katie

We had our level II ultrasound yesterday (10.25) and everything looked great. He is definitely a boy according to the Dr, weighs 6oz which is perfectly right for 17 weeks, and is measuring just fine.

Now we are trying to find some names we both like……that is the difficult part!

Wonderful Weekend! Posted by Katie

I had a wonderful weekend! - Friday we went out to dinner with Crit…….I had a steak…..which I haven’t had in forever….thanks Crit! - Then we rented “Click” and “Garfield” (for Talon).

Saturday we had planned to do the fair, but then decided against it. We went shopping, but I only bought 1 pair of pants and 2 shirts……and the pants don’t fit! ha ha - We then took the kids to Frankies, the most expensive adventure-play thing for kids! What a rip-off…..but Talon loved it. His grandma takes him there a lot, so he knew what he was doing……..us on the other hand had no idea!

Saturday night we had a fondue night…..cheese fondue for dinner, then choc for dessert…..it was yummy! And such a cheap way to have a nice evening (if you get the cheap cheese!!!).

Sunday we ventured to the mall……and I bought NOTHING again. Seems if I have money to spend, there is nothing I want. I did pop in my favorite store, Sephora……but saw nothing I needed (now I wanted ALL of it!). On the way home we stopped by the shoe store and I got a pair of black boots (no heels). And that is basically all I bought for my birthday……..oh, the kids did get a toy each too :)

Wednesday is our Level II ultrasound at 3.30PM

The rest of the week should be slow :)

Happy Birthday To Me! Posted by Katie

Today I am 26 years old…..closer to 30 than 20! I still love birthdays…….I suppose that might change when I hit 30, but for now I still love them.

My mum sent me some money, as did Ricky’s family. I got the Clinique stuff this morning, along with some earrings, a CD and a caramel apple! (I was craving one)……..plus an Internet friend of mine sent me a package full of The Body Shop stuff, that was really sweet of her, very surprised!

My boss got us the ‘everything’ bagels this morning (yum) and is now off to get us Sushi-Thai for lunch. Lisa (my co-worker) gave me 2 loaves of homemade bread…..one Cinnamon Raisin, one Herb & Cheese!

So far, my day has been nice. Oh, and I did wake-up feeling worse than yesterday, but not too bad yet…….crossing fingers that tomorrow won’t be even worse!

ourbabyboy 002ourbabyboy 006We had an ultrasound yesterday (Oct 18, 2006) and found out the new baby is a boy. At first the tech said it looked like a girl!……but it was very obviously a boy once she started moving that wand around. I was 15 weeks and 4 days.

He was moving all around, and had hiccups at one point, which was so funny to watch on the screen.

We got some great pics, and 2 moving video clips, which I will add here shortly.

We are very excited……as is Talon! He can’t wait to have 2 brothers around the same age! What a fun time for him!

We had our first OB appt yesterday (9/18) and it went really well.
Everyone there was very nice!

We got an ultrasound that showed the baby right on track at around 12 weeks. He/she was moving all around and even put their hand up to their mouth. We got some great pics!
I was weighed at 133.5lbs! BP was 100/70.
We have a level II ultrasound scheduled for 10/26 and our next OB appt is on 10/16.
Things sure are moving along!

Sept 11, 2006 Posted by Katie

Our weekend was good.
I went to the movies on Saturday with Becky, we saw Click (which I really enjoyed!), and then Tyler had a sleep-over at our place. I had promised Talon he could, as long as he was good at school all week (which he was, for the most part :)

We finally heard the babies heartbeat on the doppler on Friday (9/8). It was going 175 BPM. I have heard it every day since…..always around 170-175 BPM. It is really low, just above my hairline.

Still waiting on Ricky’s work authorization card to arrive. I think we both had hopes it would come within a few weeks, and we are now losing faith…….but I am still praying it arrives soon.

Weight - 130 It fluctuates a lot :)

Told my mum last night about the pregnancy. She was surprised, shocked and a little weary. I tried to keep talking so she couldn’t get a word in, didn’t want her to get upset before I had said all I needed to say!
She is OK now. E-mailed me this morning to apologize if she took the news badly.
It’s OK with me…..I knew she would. She loves and and worries constantly about me and my family. I am cool with that. I just don’t want her to suffer with worry.

Have started to feel a little more nauseas again. Threw up 3 times yesterday. Food just doesn’t taste good anymore :(

Excited to get T back next week. Have missed him a lot since the house flooded and he’s been with his dad.

My good friend told me she was pregnant last week. She doesn’t know if she is gonna keep it, and I haven’t heard from her all week……..I’m kinda thinking she isn’t gonna keep it, and that’s why I haven’t heard from her. It would have been fun to be pregnant together though……but I am understanding to her situation.

We are back in our house now. They re-did the carpets upstairs and painted yesterday. It still smells downstairs….but they are gonna clean the couches for us next week so hopefully that will help.

I wanted to document how Tayah says Talon’s name. For the last 7 months or so, she calls him “rar-rar” It is very odd……but cute.
We don’t know why she calls him that…….she can say her own name perfectly, so I don’t think it can be because she can’t pronounce Talon. If we ever say his name she says “rar-rar”. If we say “no, say Talon” she will say “rar-rar” - If we ask where Talon is……she will call “rar-rar”. It is the only name she uses for him! :)

Tayah has a major case of separation anxiety going on at the moment. Whenever Daddy leaves she screams bloody murder!
It’s sure gonna be fun when she starts daycare in a few weeks! :(

I weighed myself this morning and I was back down to 130.4lbs. So I am fluctuating a lot! I did vomit twice yesterday though.
